Graphic Design Fundamentals

This introductory, theory-based course covers the fundamentals of design, with a focus on design considerations for the Web. Learn to design projects that are functional and visually appealing. Elements such as colour, typography, the use of images, and site organization and layout will be discussed. Learn how to create a theme for your Web page, creating consistency and clarity among pages. A deconstruction of Web sites and other designs will assist you in recognizing effective design principles.

This is a three day continuing education course, offered by Brad Johnson through the Faculty of Continuing Education [link] at the University of Calgary.

Please see the Lectures page for details on each day's content.
